About the Artist

Cassidy Prado is a multimedia artist based in Dallas, Texas, currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Visual Culture at Texas Woman’s University with hopes of one day working in museum art restoration or conservation. Cassidy has over 15 years of artist experience, as well as 4 years of entrepreneurship as the owner of the small business, Silver Moth Creations.

About the art

Cassidy specializes in graphite portraiture through fine photorealistic details and high contrast compositions. These skills are expanded upon in her realism watercolor paintings, as well as miniature oil paint pet portraits on playing cards. When not doing portraits, Cassidy focuses on work that involves showing movement and texture through two-dimensional drawings, as well as abstract watercolor and digital illustration. Cassidy’s work has been featured in several exhibitions including the 2024 Visual Arts and Nursing Collaboration in Denton and Houston, a juried student exhibition at The MAC in Dallas, and the Visual Arts Scholastic Event for four consecutive years. She also has several murals at Lizzy Gator Events Venue in Pilot Point, Texas and a temporary mural at Texas Woman’s University in 2023.
